One of the GH Blog's series, For The Record, is all about digging. Before his weekend gig at the club, we asked Noizar for his selection of 10 records, which he would play to an audience of music enthusiasts and passionate people in the industry.
Lucy - Make Love With You is a record that's hard not to get obsessed with.
'Burma Heights' is a wonderful super deep dubby cut.
Off Pop - today (Today, 2003) is a very effective disco track.
Just Like U (Original Mix) by Exotica is an always effective 2004 gem.
Landesvatter’s ‘Move’ is an intricate minimal tech club tool.
Further - Stone Cold. Richard Davis rethinks the already magnificent "Stone Cold". Insane bass drive on this one. "Have you seen her? Stone cold in the morning, stone cold at night, stone cold in the afternoon, but everything's alright"
I love Sender Berlin - Emotion Engine for its upbeat, impossible to stand still energy.
Jussi-Pekka - The Line In Between is triggering and teasing, darker with a techno vibe.
Anton Price - Nightvision [TRYP 002] works for you if you’re into insane broken drum patterns, yet groovy and melancholical. Hits different, for sure.
Ali Renault -- Birdial is one of the most atmospheric tracks I've heard in a while. Gotta love the subtle vocal samples.
Noizar, one of the long-time residents at Closer Kyiv, is playing at the club for the first time this weekend. See the event details here.
