Timoti revives the Guesthouse Podcast Series

Elliott & Myles are the brothers behind Timoti, a project rooted in London’s underground scene. Known for playing at XTD (Fold), London’s HOME, and Half Baked, alongside holding residencies at Goosebumps and Ogenblik, their sets are intricate affairs, full of unexpected turns and gems tucked between the grooves. They also run Below Surface, a record and events label based in East London.

It was only a matter of time before an invitation to play at Guesthouse came their way, courtesy of Raresh and Prâslea. Recorded in February 2025, this set marks their first time behind the decks at the club.

The opening feels like a secret you haven’t quite been let in on yet: trippy, warm, and just cryptic enough to keep you guessing. Gradually, the music begins to loosen its grip on the shadows. The groove deepens, and what started as a subtle warm-up turns into something you could happily boogie for four hours and twenty minutes to. Timoti never force the transition. They quietly pull you in, making sure you stay for the ride.

We caught up with the duo to revisit the night and the music that came with it.

What’s something that stayed with you from that night?

The night was super special for us. We’d been coming to Guesthouse regularly since 2016 and had attended this particular party five or six times before. So, when Raresh & Prâslea invited us to open for them, it was quite something. Think of a party we’d always hoped we’d get to play at one day, so seeing it become a reality felt surreal.

You were playing Guesthouse for the first time. What was it like?

When we pressed play, we both went to the dancefloor to take in the room and the sound from the other side of the decks. We looked at each other and said, “This is going to be fun!”. The booth was extremely comfortable, and we’ve always felt that the crowd here is patient and gives you the space to build a set and take people on a journey. That allowed us to be ourselves and play freely.

Any tracks in the mix that carry a little extra meaning?

We played a number of tracks by close friends who were there that night, so it was really nice to share those moments with them.

What makes a dancefloor worth coming back to?

When a night is driven by passion and a love of music, you can feel the energy reverberating throughout the club. From the quality of the sound system to the care and professionalism of the staff, every detail contributes to creating an environment where everyone can relax and have fun.
